Self Defence Module
Our Self Defence Module is a vital element in our self protection and CRT courses.
All DFM Self-protection instructors have many years of experience in various martial art, combat and self-defence systems. Systems include: Directional Fighting Method, Ju-Jutsu and Tai-jutsu, Kung fu, Kali, Kickboxing, Shotokan and Wado Ryu Karate, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, and Judo.
Simple Effective Techniques
The self-defence module of our courses teach simple but highly effective self-defence techniques.
These techniques
are kept simple
because under stress the body automatically shuts down its fine motor
skills.
Complex techniques get forgotten when the fear factor kicks in so DFM has devised a series of self defence techniques that work on the principle of flinch. This is the smaller component of fight and flight and is what the body does instinctively when surprised or scared.
This unique approach means students don’t need to remember complex moves but just react naturally.
